Python steganography library recommendation(s)?[edit | edit source]

elimisteve2022-01-06

Happy New Year, h4x0rz.

I’m helping a nonprofit dedicated to supporting domestic abuse victims/survivors. They’ve just launched a chat bot that women and men can contact for help: https://sophia.chat/

Key question for our resident infosec peeps:

Does anyone recommend any particular Python library for steganography?

We need to hide a cryptographic key in an image. (The key will be used to encrypt evidence of abuse, and by hiding that key in the image, the user doesn’t have to memorize a giant passphrase.)

This lib seems best so far, but I’m not sure: https://github.com/xerohackcom/Chaya

Thanks!
