LED power question on rgbww room lighting[edit | edit source]

James2019-04-08

Following this guide for installing 12v rgbww strips and curious on power supplies.

There are two 20 ft strips, each with a different driver. I’m unsure on which drivers to get, but sounds like Class II is the way to go. Suggestions?

The driver class doesn’t matter nearly as much as the power draw. Only difference is that class I outputs more power than class II and thus needs heavier safety hardware. How many LEDs are you driving and what do you mean by they have two different drivers?
