Laser Cutter Fume Extractor Working Again

Myself and another fellow hacker disassembled the laser cutter again, and unclogged the ventilation port beneath the honeycomb bed again today.

This is the second time in two weeks.

It keeps getting clogged because people alternate between cutting stuff that makes sticky smoke and stuff that makes tiny flakes, and the two bind together and clog the vent. We enlarged the vent mesh holes to try and make this less of a problem.

With only a few months left in the space, I don’t anticipate debris build-up on the ventilation fan up on the ceiling to be much of a concern.
