Special Events
Open Sauce
Open Sauce 2024 -- 2nd year ever. Event by YouTube makers & creators for DIY, Hobbyist, "Open Source"-like hardware, drawing makers, vendors, & building teams from across the US, Canada, & internationally.
- Income:
- $341 cash (maybe an additional $150, total $490)
- $17.65 via paypal
- $430.00 via Venmo (requested from current holder)
Pyconaut expects slightly over $1k total in donations attributable.
- Spending:
- $600-800 on pizza
- Contributions, not assessed as monetary for Noisebridge
- Drinks provided by a sponsor, friend of the space
- Volunteer use of vehicles & time
- Outcomes & missed opportunities
- We hosted a party for hackers from across the nation, or across the world -- close to revenue neutral
- We missed the opportunity to sell swag, or to engage in large projects with curious, connected, excited people who flew all the way to SF to meet other hackers & see their projects
Build IRL
(SF group, group inspiring people to active their IRL communities in SF)
Build IRL donations include $220 that's clearly attributable, maybe another $45-60 generically labelled from same timeframe
