Nutx & Xoltx: A S.T.E.A.M. Education Company
Our mission is two fold; to provide fun, affordable education to people of all ages and to provide volunteer S.T.E.A.M. education to underserved public schools in Oakland and San Francisco.
Our goal is to democratize design and technology for everyone and prepare students for a world which is increasingly dependent on modern technology.
Motivations
The currency of curiosity is knowledge, but when given, it does not get spent. We are born curious. As hackers...geeks...makers...we have held on to this curiosity, and in a way, in is a privilege. From our position of privilege, then, it is our duty to foster curiosity in others.
Classes
Crowd Sourcing

We have three goals from our crowd sourcing campaign
Primary Goals
Purchase necessary tools for S.T.E.A.M classes.
Tools include:

The mobile lab's health and security are paramount to our goal of a self contained, off-grid classroom able to deploy in parks, community centers, and school with limited facilities and resources.
Stretch Goals:
‘One Laptop Per Child'

Imagine, teaching computer science, programming, and robots OUTSIDE!
We can with this affordable, easy to use, indestructible laptop.
