August 3rd party : NB15 party - looking for items for the silent auction, generally looking for help promoting and helping with the party!
* Olga - Oct 26 5-9 Litquake is hosting a lit-crawl festival. It brings in a lot of writers and creative people. Three different phases or groups of events. The writer's workshop is one, but there will be two other events

Elan - Wyatt created a do-not-hack channel (under hackitorium) to be used for items/projects left in the space. This is not meant to replace clearly labeling items with "Do-Not-Hack <DATE> <CONTACT INFO>" but to supplement it.

Elle - Sewing last meeting was last sunday (raised $240!). I was hoping to have four classes, but this may be the only one. Ken and I are slammed. If anyone has the capability and interest (I can teach you to teach it, it is very simple) let me know. The accessible sewing cabinet now has a serger
We are having a mend-a-thon and will mend things
We are also selling three machines. One down downstairs, two upstairs, and the knitting machine

Caleb - I have some screen printing experience and I wouldn't mind trying to dial in the formula on it to make some noisebridge swag. If anyone wants to join (Zack is interested). Maybe a class on screen printing

Targeting to host an event for 5-20 people

SF Contemplarium to highlight and celebrate human experiences. Loves the space/community). Wants to host some brainstorming/planning sessions at Noisebridge running up to the actual event.

Elle: Build IRL was great and has been giving some great press (SF Standard)

Has done this before as a senior engineering project. Believes working with carbon fiber but working with epoxy fumes. Cutting carbon fiber

Elle: I worked in CR club(?) dealing with toxic exposure. Worked with a lot of folks who had incidental exposure.

Ace makerspace has protocols for dealing with carbon fibers.

Elle: It is an irritant rather than carcinogen.

Alex: My college has a big makerspace/workshop and had to recently start working on some hazardous materials. It sucks getting shut down but it is justified. It is probably worth paying $200 to Ace to do things the right way. It probably costs more to set things up to do things the right.

Julius: Epoxy safety has two parts - safety of others in the space would be solved with ventilation. Safety for you is solved by using an appropriate respirator. There are many kinds, so make sure you check which one specifically your filters are rated for.
I would say that for now, let's keep the carbon fiber work out of the space. Maybe going forward we can support that pending further research. And definitely a hard no on any drilling, cutting, sanding, grinding, etc on the finished product. Noisebridge struggles especially with diffuse dangers, especially ones that only become evident over time.

Elle: There is a maker space in Alameda community space. I may have contacts.

Elan: We can try to send a message "officially" to try to smooth the process if that's helpful

Ethan: These options sound great and I would love to get a list of other makerspaces.

ATL in the music room today. Need to decide on duration, further steps, or move to 86.

Summary: Mohamed approached Julius because some folks were physically threatening him and not accepting ask-to-leave. Julius and Azamat were able to convince them to leave but they didn't want to leave their equipment here.

They marked their equipment and the tentative plan is for them to come get it tomorrow.

Julius didn't see the original interaction but there was some behavior that was was definitely intimidating.
