'''NOTE:''' Consider turning off fridge for the duration of the meeting. It is very loud and sometimes prevents people on video conference from hearing those in the space.

Unreal Engine Hack Night Thursday May 4th! (see #games in discord)

Fix for doorbell - by the power panel - ripped out from the panel
digital keypad instead of phone

Also: Trello kiosk! Project that has been in progress for other weeks. Interface for creating and working on tasks that needs to be done. Hooked to our Trello board

Works without login (or proposedly)!

= Excellence =
'''Our One Rule is to Be Excellent to Each Other.'''

(What does that mean? Please see our page on excellence https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Excellence!

Everyone is expected to follow the Anti-Harassment Policy, please familiarize yourself with it.) TWO MINUTES MAX
== Guilds ==
* '''What are guilds - briefly describe''' (much like the previous section on "Excellence")

== New Members/Associate Members ==
What are they? Is anyone trying to become a Member or Associate Member? If not move on. No long discussions.

= Financial Report =
'''Anarchist societies under a capitalist state need money to survive and thrive, yo.'''

* Funds in bank:
* Noisetor (See the bulletpoints at the bottom of http://noisetor.net/finances/#summary):
* Any other details by those participating in handling our financials
* The latest financial reports from the treasurer are available at https://noisebridge.net/wiki/Finances

== Spending Needs ==
Gotta spend money on XYZ (i.e. Gate, wiring etc.). WHO CAN SIGN THE CHECK OR LEND THE CREDIT CARD!?!?! It doesn't matter if we agree to do something and it can’t be paid for.

== Fundraising Update ==
'''How's it all going'''

= Big C Consensus Items =
Nobody likes 3 hour meetings, only explain if people ask. https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Current_Consensus_Items

== [[ Consensus Items ]] ==
Only for talking about Big C consensus items, small c consensus items should be discussed with people at the space at the time of the change/new item.

= Discussion =

== Discussion Item 0 ==

Gate Keypad

Phone box is broken, some dude ripped it off from the outside and trashed it. Fix still in progress.

People suggest implementing a digital keypad solution. Mark suggests working on that in parallel.

== Discussion Item 1 ==

Designated Smoking Area/ Rules

Need to have clarity - some ambiguity currently

Currently, the website says: "If you're going to smoke, smoke downstairs on the sidewalk, away from our doorway. This includes all substances, including tobacco and marijuana. Do not smoke on the fire escape -- it affects everyone in the space, plus the ash falls down onto the fruit below, and the fire service gets mad at us." - which is out of date. We don't have a fire escape.

Is it:
- In the back?
- In front porch?
- In front on the curb?

Do people have qualms with being on the curb?

Code says it should be on the curb

No one objects to the idea in the meeting - we will publicizing the intent in various social channels - John and Sebastian volunteer to head up that discussion online

== Discussion Item 2: A/V setup==

From ryan (pyconaut):
- Also I reconnected the subwoofer to the audio panel downstairs the other night (and tuned it to a degree) and tried to get the chrome cast and apple TV working with the projector. Everything works except the hdmi splitter (somehow the wrong power adapter I think was used and messed it up). I tested everything with my vr cart hdmi spliter and everything worked, but that splitter does not have an audio out.
I looked everywhere for the church or Turing projector setups but couldn't find them (last year they were both in the rolling cabinet next to the stage). Should I just order a new hdmi splitter (would probably be good to get a newer one anyways).
-2 inputs would handle much more equipement
Drawer full of splitters?
Wants to buy nice ones for Noisebridge / 8k streaming
PHD - push here dummy!
8k 4in x 2out switcher
Supports 4k 120 Hz, great AV
$160
8k are cheaper, but can't handle new games

Drawer full of splitters? Not good enough

Sebastian reccomends: Botin foundation scholarship? Don't invest in software, recommend lifespan of technology, won't give grants to recurring asks. Very specific audio setup + order double to account for lifespan

pyconaut also recommends surround speakers. Look at #totally-secret-cabal... for more info

Wishlist / Donation list ?

TJ will follow up / pin message somewhere from last week

Cool to buy vs. wishlist

Also list on companies

Separate big things from small ?

Pinned message that leaks to document in #totally-secret-cabal... / Noisebridge wiki page

Considered using dedicated tool for asset management (SnipeIT)?
asset management and stock tracking
Parts database is there, but shortcomings are abound
TJ , @devoz

== Discussion Item 3 ==

Update on trash bin pricing

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1048755553108770967/1098738416956493894/image.png

Update from Recycology

We currently pay $342 / month for 3 bins (NOT $600)
If we wanted larger bin (currently have 64 gallon), 64->96 $470/month

Why is it that much?

Anything we can do to lower costs? Produce less trash
Non profit argument didn't work

LXPK: shredding to reduce waste?

Lot of trash generated by laser cutter / woodshop, hard to break down

Wood can be burned, but not practical

Wood shredder? corey? No response

Max is skeptical

Impractical to keep up that much wood generated

Could woodshop raise money to adapt to monthly cost

I can do a dump run every two weeks for extra wood (also costs $120 / month)

Maybe we can limit what goes into the space?

Policy: Don't bring in without checking where it would go

Can put current things in Limbo Landia, i.e. things headed for the dump

Where to put the stuff for preparing the partition for woodshop, what will happen once partition is finished?

Need to determine what is and isn't project on case by case basis

How to create stronger enforcement of where is good place to leave project? Better dedicated project space? Step 1 could be cleaning up abanded projects, put up dividers.

Mark: Recommendations and vigilance

???: Need to separate into large and small . Small can fit in boxes, large can be more useful.

John : exists designated sizes

???: 4x4 plywood. But could put in stall, that can be stored more efficiently.

???: What do we do as we grow?

Mark : instill better culture

Mark: breakdown of bill?

Max: percent recycling/compost to trash. If increasing recycling, significantly cheaper than cost. Quoting from recology: "Diversion discount, a landfill diversion discount equal to the diversion volume percentage less 25% is then subtracted. Diversion volume percentage equals recycling and composting volume divided by total volume.
Right now you have 64g trash 2x a week, if you decrease the cart or decrease to one a day a week your rate will go down."

Max: Can't get compacter, that's a safety concern?
*actually, $100 appliance that remains closed when operating*
Max : So this isn't industrial
*potentially on craigslist*

Devon; Untreated lumber scraps, places to place it
???: Rarely clean lumber.

John : extra trash bin, not used / accessed in past couple weeks. So got rid of it.

There's a Slack channel called #finance-wg, they will give you money for stuff

Find breakdown of costs (Mark)

No increased plan yet

Incinerators? (ehhhhh)
Needs further research
Legal / zoning issue?
Is it safe?

More?

List of questions for inspector? Slack thread in #general
Ken will be here tomorrow (most likely)

= Do-ocratic Task Board =
Participation also means doing stuff to contribute to the space. Propose new tasks or pick some tasks from [https://github.com/noisebridge/buildout-capp Github], from what needs to be done around you, or whatever, and see if someone will sign up to work on that task. Anyone can sign up and it's a great way to show you are contributing!

= End of Meeting =

==Note taker posts the notes==

* Clean and tidy the meeting notes including removing all these really verbose instructions.
* Fill out the short summary at the top listing just announcements, consensus items, discussion topics, and names of new members and philanthropists.
* Copy paste the notes to the next meeting page. (They will become Last meeting at midnight.) https://www.noisebridge.net/index.php?title=Last_meeting&redirect=no
* Email the meeting summary to Noisebridge Discuss and Noisebridge Announce lists.
* CC on the email treasurer@noisebridge.net and secretary@noisebridge.net if there are new members and philanthropists.
* Edit the Current Consensus Items if anything is proposed for consensus next week.
* Edit the Consensus Items History if anything was reached consensus or failed to reach consensus this week.

==Fun things to do after==

* Do a 10 minute cleanup, bring dishes up stairs and wash them, clean the bathroom
* Have some beers on the patio
* Prepare the next weeks' meeting notes
* Lick the walls. Or just draw on them
* sing the [[Hackernationale]] (this almost never happens)
