== The event ==

The 30th Chaos Communication Congress (30C3) is an annual four-day conference on technology, society and utopia. The Congress offers lectures https://events.ccc.de/congress/2013/Fahrplan/schedule.html and workshops and various events on a multitude of topics including (but not limited to) information technology and generally a critical-creative attitude towards technology and the discussion about the effects of technological advances on society.

For 30 years, the congress has been organized by the community and appreciates all kinds of participation. You are encouraged to contribute by volunteering, setting up and hosting hands-on and self-organized events with the other components of your assembly or presenting your own projects to fellow hackers. Some basic survival guidelines might come in handy for everything not answered in our 30C3 FAQ. Updated information are covered by the CCC Events Blog or via Twitter (@CCC).

Hackers all over the world are organizing events to bring the congress closer to home – Congress everywhere: Allow those unable to attend the Congress in Hamburg to celebrate their own Hackcenter experience, watch the streams, participate via twitter or chats, drink Tschunk, cook and have a good time.

Noisebridge will be hosting an event throughout the congress bringing live streams to and from Hamburg and the Mission.

Yasir.siddiqui: Open Value Network - Yasir - Sensorica

Hello everyone,

I am visiting from Montreal and am currently part of the [http://sensorica.co Sensorica community]. Sensorica is an [http://valuenetwork.referata.com/wiki/Main_Page open-value network] that is creating viable and pragmatic alternatives within the capitalistic system.

Sensorica is an open-community, which means open-access and open-knowledge (open-source). We have been creating sensors but are open to other types of creativity and innovation. We also commercialize our creativity and innovation and redistribute the revenue equitably based on our [http://valnet.webfactional.com/ value accounting system] (source: code [https://github.com/bhaugen/valuenetwork Github]). We also have ideas for governance that we are actively testing (for ex: how to redistribute revenue and how to manage commons.)

I would like to introduce these ideas to the Noisebridge community, however, I am only in town until beginning of January. Therefore, I would like to host a discussion session on our project to introduce our ideas and then if there is interest, we could continue the conversations over distance. My intention is to create collaboration between community across territorial boundaries.
