Nanoloop is a sound editor and sequencer for mobile devices.
Originally created in 1998 for use with the original Gameboy units,
the developer has recently released Nanoloop for iPhone (and all other
iPhone OS devices). NLiP builds on Nanoloop's minimal interface, but
adds sampling (from line in or mic in), touch based shortcuts, and the
ability to import/export tracks via email.
Doc describes Nanoloop thusly:

Nanoloop is a sound editor and sequencer for mobile devices.
Originally created in 1998 for use with the original Gameboy units,
the developer has recently released Nanoloop for iPhone (and all other
iPhone OS devices). NLiP builds on Nanoloop's minimal interface, but
adds sampling (from line in or mic in), touch based shortcuts, and the
ability to import/export tracks via email.

For anyone looking to get in to easy and portable loop based music
creation, Nanoloop is an awesome tool to have. Though the iPhone
version doesn't really sound like it's "chiptune" Gameboy counterpart,
the portability and ease of sharing make this app even better than the
Nanoloop
Nanoloop is a sound editor and sequencer for mobile devices.
Originally created in 1998 for use with the original Gameboy units,
the developer has recently released Nanoloop for iPhone (and all other
iPhone OS devices). NLiP builds on Nanoloop's minimal interface, but
adds sampling (from line in or mic in), touch based shortcuts, and the
ability to import/export tracks via email.

For anyone looking to get in to easy and portable loop based music
creation, Nanoloop is an awesome tool to have. Though the iPhone
version doesn't really sound like it's "chiptune" Gameboy counterpart,
the portability and ease of sharing make this app even better than the
original. Plus $3 on iTunes sure beats $74 for a Gameboy cart. --Doctor Popular

Nanoloop is available for purchase on the iTunes store.

Event Calendar
Not all events make it onto this calendar. Many events only make it to the Discussion or Announcements mailing lists, IRC or in person at . Best of all, Noisebridge is about people getting together at the space in San Francisco to do stuff... like in person. Some events just happen. Pay attention!

Event posters are encouraged to crosspost to the Google Calendar. View the Google Calendar, view the Google Calendar in XML, or the Google Calendar in ical format.

To post Google Calendar entries for your event, contact a Noisebridge member for access.

(Wouldn't it be great if there were a gCal mediawiki plugin so crossposting wasn't needed? Do you know of a good one? Help us!) <- working on this, need to upgrade Mediawiki in order to use some plugins.
Welcome to the Alpha complex. Alpha complex is organized by its glorious leader, The Computer. The Computer is Your Friend. The Computer wants to make Your Life perfect.

That is why The Computer helps you become happy. Eat your pills, Citizen, they will make you happy. Are you happy, Citizen? Remember that Happiness Is Mandatory.

Alas, not everybody wants you to be Happy. Alpha Complex is full of Traitors, Communists and Mutants. Then again, The Computer knows about this and is trying to fix everything for you.

Call for Players
Mikael will lead a game of Paranoia at the space. Given time constraints, it will either end by April or have a major hiatus by April.

There are exactly 5 player slots open. You become a player by grabbing a slot here on this wikipage.

# Alex (VonGuard) That handle @gmail. Z or C. Paranoia S? is that possible?
# Christie C or S.
# Reed, S sounds like the thing.
# Player name or handle
# Player name or handle

We also need to decide on which style of Paranoia to play. There are three to choose from:
; Zap : Almost pure slapstick. Puns are encouraged. Madhat firefight is encouraged. Actual plot and/or accomplishments are close to discouraged.
; Classic : A try to recreate the original Paranoia feeling from the 70s. Puns are encouraged, but not omnipresent, as with the random firefights.
; Straight : Dark drama. While the characters really do live in the insane world of Paranoia, the rampant humour that suffuces the other playstyles and renders them slightly more harmless and palatable is discouraged. This is the only style that lends itself to longterm campaign games, and comes with a dystopian feeling to it that would make Philip K Dick envy the game designers.

Vote for the style you'd like to play with a Z, C or S after your name/handle in the registration above.

Remember, Happiness Is Mandatory!
